About Patricia

I've dedicated the last fifteen years to advocating for senior dogs - the grey muzzles who wait in shelters while puppies get adopted, the old ones whose bodies slow down while their hearts stay full. I've adopted seven senior dogs myself, starting with Greta when she was eleven. Each one taught me something about love, about time, about the profound gift of caring for a creature in their final chapter. I write these pages because every grey muzzle deserves to be celebrated, and because those of us who love them need a place to share our stories.

Share Your Story

Every grey muzzle deserves to be remembered. If you have a dog you'd like to honor, I'd be grateful to include your tribute in our Reader Stories collection. These pages belong to all of us who have loved and lost.
